Division Director of Family Services

Are you a visionary leader passionate about empowering families and driving inclusive community support? Northeast Arc is seeking a Division Director of Family Services to lead innovative programs that make a lasting impact across the North Shore and beyond.

Our Family Services division provides a range of comprehensive supports for individuals with disabilities and their families, focusing on empowerment, education, and community connection. The division provides information, referrals, flexible funding, and workshops like behavioral support and special education rights. . Additional services include guided personal supports to build life skills, educational advocacy to help families navigate the school system, and recreation programs that promote social engagement and personal growth. The division’s goal is to strengthen families and foster independence through accessible, community-based resources.

The Division Director of Family Services oversees and directs day to day operations of Family Services Division, provides strategic support and leadership. They ensure the highest quality of customer service is provided at all levels of service delivery and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, contractual obligations and policy development and implementation. They work closely with and in support of the executive team, and as a member of senior leadership team.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Explores and implements innovative program development and expansion. Identifies potential new funding sources. Leads written response for proposals efforts and/or grant requests.
  • Oversees staff development; continually assesses effectiveness of workforce, and establishes appropriate staffing patterns, skill sets and qualifications to ensure high standards of service. Reviews staff evaluations; and conducts annual performance evaluations for Family Support Leadership team.
  • Acts as an active member of the Senior Leadership team and Joint Agency Management team (JAMM), facilitates, and participates fully in divisional and agency strategic planning and management.
  • Actively contributes to the strategic direction for operations and thereby the division, establishes measurable goals and holds self and team accountable to the attainment of those goals.
  • Accounts for all financial planning, budget development and monitoring of expenses for Family Services programs.
  • Manages all billing and ensures accuracy across contracts for the Division.
  • Serves as the primary contact during audits, investigations and external reviews. Leads preparation and response efforts for accreditation, licensing and certification survey.

Key Qualifications:

  • Masters preferred in Psychology, Sociology, Rehabilitation, Human Services or Non-profit Management, other related field.
  • At least five years’ experiences working with various populations affected by or having disabilities.
  • At least five years’ experience working with individuals with disabilities (IDD/autism) in a leadership position.

Job Type: Full-time, onsite, exempt
